He defended his PhD thesis on "Correlation properties of high-dimensional quantum states based on biphoton fields" in 2011 at the Faculty of Physics, Moscow State University. Then in 2011-2012 he worked at the Center for Quantum Technologies (CQT, Singapore) on experiments on quantum electrodynamics with single atoms in optical resonators. From 2013 to the present he has been working at Moscow State University, where he is involved in experimental quantum optics and quantum information. Since 2018, he has been leading an experimental laboratory engaged in the development of quantum computing systems within the Center for Quantum Technologies, established at MSU as a competence center of the National Technology Initiative. Since 2021, he has been leading the scientific group of atomic and optical quantum computing at the Russian Quantum Center.
