From SQL to Cassandra

The speaker will talk about VK's transition from SQL to Cassandra – you can't just move tables and replace queries from SQL to CQL.

We will consider the practices of schema and query building using real examples. The team's requirements to query performance are quite high: 99 percentile – less than 10 ms. One has to work with each table separately and change its structure based on business requirements and taking into account the nuances of Cassandra implementation.

The talk will be useful both for those who have already started using Cassandra and for those who are just thinking of switching to it.
