What Is LLVM and What It Has to Do with Java

LLVM is one of the most important open source projects in the world. It lies at the heart of a lot of tools — tools that we, directly or not, use every single day. And yes, some of Java tools are based on LLVM as well!

This talk is an intro to LLVM project "for the rest of us". Come if you never developed compilers, always wanted to know what is LLVM but were afraid to ask.
